2019年6月 报道：顾海舟 Summer In Weishan (SIW) 是一个由奥斯汀地区中学生组成的支教夏令营，营员们会来到中国云南巍山彝族回族自治县的巍山一中及周围中小学，教那里的学生们英文并和他们进行文化交流，为期两周。巍山位于云南西部，距大理正南约60公里，中缅边界以东约350公里，是一个风景旖旎但交通闭塞的山区，自治县内有彝族、回族等少数民族，民风古朴、多彩。

记台北新剧团中秋国粹京剧奥斯丁义演

撰稿 Angela Qian  摄影 光明(GM) 奥斯汀历史上第一次的整场专业国粹京剧表演, 由名传海峡两岸京剧艺术家李宝春领衔，近50人的台北新剧团，呈现给大家一场高级的文化飨宴. 9月7号京剧折子戏“铡美案”，“挡马”，“大闹天宫”，9月8号的“宝莲神灯”，各两个半小时的演出，让奥斯汀的各界人士，男女老幼，有机会欣赏到京剧表演的魅力。

（春平报道） 廖冰博士背景介绍： 毕业于北京大学，休斯顿大学博士，Rutgers大学工商管理硕士；美银美林大数据分析和模拟高级研究员，曾担任The Lawrenceville School 私立高中数学教师，有浓烈的教育情怀。现在普林斯顿大学Counseling & Psychological Services实习。 创建英华语言学校、英华国际学校、“英华在北京”语言与领导能力暑期学院、英华普林斯顿语言与领导能力暑期学院等非营利教育机构；自2004年起，担任新泽西州父母子女教育俱乐部总顾问。 廖冰博士已在美国、加拿大和中国做过100多个与情商教育有关的演讲或研讨会，所举办的亲子关系主题讲座、家教论坛和交谈会深受家长热烈欢迎及高度好评。她努力帮助华人社区，关心青少年心理健康。
